Mongolian woman sentenced to death in China

A 67 year old Mongolian woman was given a death penalty for attempting of smuggling marihuana and drugs in China. She claimed that she was carrying two bags for a person who asked her to do so at Customs when she was arrested by Chinese custom officers last December.

At the Court she said that “I was not aware that the bag contained marihuana and drugs. I was used as a victim of smuggling.”

The convict went to China for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and then came and went many times for business.

But the Chinese Court believed that she was involved in a drug smuggling group. 

The Mongolian Consulate in China contacted her family and have informed them.
