Golden Foal awarded to Bulgan herder
TV channel MNBTV and the Ministry for Industry and Agriculture annually nominate the winners of the Golden Foals just before Tsagaan Sar.
This year a herder, M.Baasandamba, from Saikhan sum, Bulgan aimag, won the Golden Foal Award for the amazing feat of breeding over 80 new born foals with no losses last year.
Bulgan is the aimag where last year’s State Best Herder and the eight Best Herders of the aimag reside. Herder M.Baasandamba, who was awarded the Golden Foal before Tsagaan Sar, is one of these eight State Best Herders.
Bulgan aimag, especially Saikhan sum, is the home place of the Olympic champion N.Tuvshinbayar and is known for breeding the best horses and producing tasty airag.
